10 Most Disappointing WWE Wrestlers Of 2014 - 10

10. Kofi Kingston

The year 2014 was the point of no return for Kofi. Throughout his career, fans thought he could be a star if only the company would just get behind him. After all, in late 2009 it seemed like Kofi could have become a big-time player. Then he screwed up Randy Orton’s punt kick, and that was it. You would think that wouldn’t have been enough to disqualify him from ever getting another chance, but that seems to have been the death knell of his push. This year it feels like it’s too late to make magic with him again.
Kofi has been a mid-carder for so long that it’s highly doubtful fans would take him seriously if WWE tried to give him another push. Sure, he’s only 33-years-old, but we’ve now seen him for seven years, and still know him less than a random guy who lives down the street from you. Before these past couple months, we basically knew him as “guy who would perform a crazy maneuver in the Royal Rumble.” That’s not much of a gimmick. Even worse is he’s now in The New Day, which makes the Three Man Band look like the Four Horsemen.

Maybe we shouldn’t have got our hopes up and expected WWE to give Kofi much of anything this year, but he sure deserved better than what he got.
