12 WWE Wrestlers Who Worked Through Chronic Injury

1. Daniel Bryan

The most recent case of a wrestler working hurt is Daniel Bryan. He was physically running on empty for much of his WWE career. He has only ever known one way of working and that’s full blast.
In 2013 he was on a big career push, culminating in his big WWE Title win in the main event of WrestleMania 30. But years of working injured was always going to catch up with him, and just as he hit his career peak, he was forced to take nine months off due to a neck issue.

He came back briefly in 2015, only to be sidelined again. He’s paying the price for years of working an intense style, with the mentality that pain is just part of the business. Even when he came back in 2015, he was still doing ridiculous moves like dives through the ropes.
In the modern day WWE, wrestling when chronically injured isn’t an option any more. Fans may never see Daniel Bryan back in action ever again.
