NWo was a great angle in WCW without any doubt, aided by the heel turn of Hulk Hogan it went on to become the back bone of the company for many years.

However, WCW apparently overused the whole thing and messed it up. Fans were through seeing the NWo and WCW soon dissolved but Vince did the unthinkable after that. He bought Hulk Hogan back to WWE and instead of portraying him as a face; Vince reignited the NWo in WWE.

The angle was an utter failure and no one wanted to see a rip off of an already stale story. If Vince had bought back the original Hulkster, it would’ve been a much better deal.
