10 Biggest WWE Rematches That Never Happened

4. Eddie Guerrero Vs. Brock Lesnar – No Way Out 2004

Why There Was No Rematch: Lesnar quit WWE in 2004 and Guerrero died in 2005.
It was one of the better WWE Title matches ever in terms of the match quality and the general happiness that fans had for the winner.
When Eddie Guerrero beat Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Title at No Way Out 2004 it was a celebration because Eddie was the underdog that overcame so much to get to the top of the company. The match was really good with Brock as the dominant heel champion that couldn’t put Eddie away.

There was some interference with Bill Goldberg showing up to attack Lesnar, but what was great is that the match didn’t end there. Eddie still had to do more to beat Lesnar, so he nailed that Frog Splash and won the WWE Title for the only time in his career.

Since Lesnar left WWE a month later, they never had another match. It’s a shame because they should have had three or four matches together. Their first match was incredible and if they did others they could have topped themselves.
