5. Brock Lesnar Ends “The Streak”

Even if you talked to people who felt The Undertaker would, or should, have his WrestleMania streak ended, they weren’t predicting it to happen this year against Brock Lesnar.

Look at the crowd reactions when it happened. You couldn’t find a single person reacting to it as it happened. People were shocked. People were stunned. Some would eventually calm down and start marking out, but it’s that genuine shock that really stands out. In this day and age, wrestling fans can read about any and every decision companies like WWE are thinking about making. That means there are little to no legitimate surprises anymore, but Brock beating Taker was one of them.

This isn’t the time to discuss whether or not the result was the “right” decision. It’s over and done with, and even if you hate the decision, there’s nothing that can be done to go back and change it. What can be said is that Brock became a “made man” on that night, and it helped to propel him to a very major 2014, which will, in turn, carry him into 2015 as the WWE World Champion.
