10. Jerry “The King” Lawler

In the midst of his 1993 feud with Bret Hart, Jerry “The King” Lawler was arrested due to an accusation of rape(that were later proven false) made by a 15-year old resident of Memphis, Tennessee. Due to the fact that the legal issues occurred just prior to Survivor Series 1993, Shawn Michaels took Lawler’s spot as the captain of his team of “knights” in the scheduled match.

Though Lawler’s issues lack the repercussions faced by other WWE stalwarts on this list, Lawler missing out on a major piece in the puzzle of his year-long feud with Hart certainly reflects a case of terrible timing to get arrested.
