Word is, Chris Jericho wants to stick to house shows. He loves the business, but can’t make a full time commitment. House shows mean he doesn’t need to be in story lines – if he’s not on TV, he doesn’t need to be in the mix week in and week out.

That’s just fine. Taker hasn’t been in much of the way of ongoing storylines in years. His “feud” – such as it was – with Bray Wyatt was almost completely one-sided, with Wyatt doing the majority of the work as far as selling the bout. Jericho could no doubt spend a couple of weeks each January/February coming in to promote a big feud leading into Mania, have a bout at the big show (and probably steal a lot of the glory), and go back to doing the odd house show th rest of the year.

And it would work, because Y2J already has enough status in the eyes of the fans to pull off that sort of part time gig.
