AJ Lee first came to most wrestling fan’s attention as Daniel Bryan’s neglected girlfriend during his memorable run as World Heavyweight Champion in late-2011/early-2012. It was her “Kiss-Of-Death” at WrestleMania XVIII that caused Bryan to lose the World Heavyweight Championship to Sheamus in eighteen seconds. She later left Bryan at the alter and had him attend mandatory anger management classes.

These days, Daniel Bryan is one of the the biggest stars in the industry and thanks to Total Divas, the world has been given a unique look into his private life due to his marriage to Total Divas star Brie Bella. With Bryan currently injured, WWE are constantly reminding the fans of him, so he can come back with the same momentum he had when he left.

At this point a feud between Bryan’s wife and his “ex-girlfriend” seems like a no-brainer. The story is ready waiting to be tapped into, and it gives WWE an excuse to put Bryan on TV more even if he isn’t yet cleared to wrestle.

As for Brie Bella, she’s almost there in the ring, so working night-in and night-out with AJ Lee could only improve her skills and put her over as the main babyface Diva just as her husband was on the cusp of being the new face of the WWE.
