3. The Ascension

Having made a case for a female Undertaker (or at least someone with that impact and status in the diva’s division), how about a tag-team version? The Ascension has a look reminiscent of the Legion of Doom and the Acolytes. They have that feel about them. It’s a little old school, as far as gimmicks go. And with enough grooming, they could wind up a top force, and keep the “dark” personas without coming off as too comical.

How to do it? Play them straight, and make them dominant. Make sure every match they have has a spot the is eye-catching. And keep them together! Konnor and Viktor need to be a team that stick through it through thick and thin. Far too often, tag teams these days are not allowed time to develop. They’re split up in the hopes that one partner, or both, will make it big as a draw in singles competition – which only hurts the tag division as a whole!

With the Usos out and the New Day holding the belts, the tag ranks are pretty thin. Which makes this the perfect time to have a dominant team take over, and with the look of the Ascension, you can bet the WWE production crew could come up with some pretty incredible entrances and promos to sell the duo.
