3. Lana Will Likely Get A Name Change And Huge Babyface Push

The story came out a few weeks ago. Vince McMahon is a huge supporter of Lana and wants to push her as a singles star. Can she wrestle? Is she good in the ring? Few people know the answer to that, so we have no idea right now.

Another aspect of the story is that if they turn her face they will likely have her drop the Russian accent, then have her use her real name CJ Perry or perhaps something close to that. If they want to make her into the All-American girl, they need to come up with a good reason why she was with Rusev as his manager for the past year because otherwise it will be difficult for her to make that transition.

Rusev’s future could be hurt by Lana no longer serving as his manager. WWE probably only wants to do the move to make her look like a bigger deal and they will have to figure out things for him.

The babyface turn for Lana has been in motion since WrestleMania. She has been playing to the fans a lot more, which leads to the fans chanting for her and Rusev sending her to the back as a way for him to get heat. Assuming that Rusev loses to John Cena on Sunday, that’s probably when the split officially takes place. He can blame her and she’ll be on her own from there.
