8. The Divas Triple Threat Match Was Competitive

It was a bit of a surprise to see AJ Lee become the Divas Champion after she just lost it to Paige five weeks earlier at SummerSlam, but at least it was an entertaining matchup with Nikki Bella also involved.
There were a few big moments in the match, but the best part was when they did the Tower of Doom spot out of the corner. That was when Paige hit a suplex on AJ Lee while Nikki showed up to give Paige a powerbomb. If you listened closely, you could probably hear Paige check with AJ to make sure she was ready for it. Sometimes the cameras get too close and we hear things like that. It happens. Still a great move especially in a divas match when the performers are smaller and it’s harder to do.
Now that AJ is the Divas Champion, the question will be whether she keeps feuding with Paige or if Nikki Bella becomes the top contender. After all, it was Paige that tapped out to the Black Widow submission, not Nikki. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Paige had a short reign so she can drop it to the heel Nikki, who would then lose it to her babyface sister Brie.
The only gripe about the match was that the format of it was too repetitive. They kept on doing the same thing where two girls were wrestling in the ring while the other was on the floor. It was repeated for about seven minutes until they got the finish, which was well done.
