10 Most Important WWE Moments Of 2014 - 3
3. Sting’s WWE Debut
Sting has been a big name in the wrestling business for over a quarter-century at this point. Even with all that time in the business, and the legendary career he’s had for himself, he just made his WWE debut at the end of Survivor Series.
It’s something that fans all over the world never thought they would see. Sting was the biggest name WCW had ever created to never step foot in a WWE ring, and when he kept re-signing with TNA, the odds of him going to “the land of Titan” got slimmer and slimmer. It was one of the most surreal wrestling moments of the last decade, easily, and he didn’t even have to say a word the entire time he was on the screen.
Now comes word that we may get to see Sting wrestle more than one match for WWE before he retires. Of course, WrestleMania 31 seems like a logical place for one of them (probably against Triple H), but what about the other match or matches? TLC is coming up too quickly for something as historic as Sting’s first WWE match to be thrown together, so maybe the Royal Rumble? No matter when it happens, it will probably end up being something mentioned on a list like this for 2015.
