The Undertaker’s 10 Biggest Regrets In His WWE Career
The Undertaker is nearing the end of his WWE career. It might in fact already be over. Reports this past week have indicated the WWE are considering The Undertaker as the headline act for the 2015 Hall Of Fame ceremony. At 49 years old, there’s doubts over his ability to work at WrestleMania 31, so the Hall Of Fame is being viewed as the next best option for him being featured during Mania weekend.
If this means we’ve seen the last of The Undertaker in a WWE ring, then the entire wrestling world will soon begin an outpouring of respect to the twenty-five year WWE veteran. Rightly so, we will hear about the great longevity and leadership he maintained in Vince McMahon’s empire.
Whether it was on-screen or off-screen, Mark Calaway was an absolutely key component in McMahon’s success. He had some of the finest matches ever seen in this past two decades, and was the role model in a talent laden WWE locker room. Fans, colleagues, management… everyone respected the man that The Undertaker was.
He’s closed the show at WrestleMania, he’s won a Wrestling Observer 5 star match award, he’s won a Royal Rumble, he’s a seven time champion, and of course he went on an undefeated streak at WrestleMania for twenty-one years.
However, being the kind of ambitious and proud man that he is, Mark Calaway is likely to retire from the business with some regrets. Part of the secret to his longevity is that he’s always wanted more. In several instances, he fell short of his own personal goals and standards. It hasn’t all been a story-book legend for WWE’s icon.
