The Undertaker’s 10 Biggest Regrets In His WWE Career
5. Injuries
Injuries have been one of the dominant themes in The Undertaker’s WWE career. Whether it was having his eye socket crushed by Mabel in 1995 or suffering burns during a pyro incident in 2010, it seems like the WWE Icon has always been suffering in some fashion.
Indeed, Dave Meltzer commented as far back as the nineties that The Undertaker could be nearing retirement due to injuries. Just think about that for a second. Undertaker would go on to work in another two decades.
There’s no doubting it though, the injuries and surgeries have mounted. In recent years he has only been able to work one match per a year and needed elite workers like Triple H and CM Punk to paper over the cracks.
The chronic pain almost resulted in Taker missing WrestleMania 29 completely (he only got passed fit in February of that year), and the decades of wear and tear were painfully obvious at WrestleMania 30.
Looking back, the veteran must be a little regretful of how much punishment he has put his body through. Big men were never designed to do leaps over top ropes or to take bumps off of top turnbuckles. The daily pain will be a constant reminder of the unforgiving wrestling ring.
