10 Reasons Fans Stick With WWE Through The Worst Of Times-2

2. It’s Your Happy Place

The WWE’s current mantra is all about “putting smiles on peoples’ faces.” While that point is perhaps emphasized more today than in the past, it’s pretty much always been the goal of the company. And whether or not you have a huge grin plastered onto your face for the entire duration of a three-hour episode of RAW, the fact is that you tune in because you want to. For a lot of people, pro-wrestling offers an escape from the drudgery of everyday life. It’s full of larger-than life characters doing crazy and silly things week in and week out. When the weight of the world is on your shoulders, you can easily invest yourself in these far-fetched story lines and turn off the outside world just for a little bit. The performers of the WWE lay their bodies on the line week in and week out for the purposes of our entertainment and that should be appreciated. Sure you may criticize the direction of the product, but even that is part of the experience and fun. Going on line and venting about how much the WWE sucks is itself a form of release that lets you engage with a community of like-minded individuals. After all, it’s a lot less stressful to complain about the WWE than it is to stress out about mortgage payments and credit card debt.
