The Undertaker’s 10 Biggest Regrets In His WWE Career
9. The Sara Tattoo
Something The Undertaker did around the turn of the millennium was to bring his personal life into his wrestling character. He had the name of his wife “Sara” tattooed on his throat, with the idea being that “you can take off a wedding ring, but you can’t ever take this off.”
Furthermore, Sara started appearing on WWF television in 2001. She was infamously stalked by Diamond Dallas Page and later pinned him in a complete burial of the DDP character. Appearing alongside The Undertaker, she damaged his aura of mystery, and he must now realise that the whole early 2000’s period was a mistake. The humanised Taker was nowhere near as interesting as the traditional Deadman.
Towards the end of the 2000’s decade, Calaway had the Sara tattoo lasered off. The marriage had broken down and he had moved on to dating WWE Diva Michelle McCool. It goes almost without saying, of course he regretted getting Sara’s tattoo on his throat. The entire light he had put on his personal life had damaged his character and made him look the bad guy when his relationship status changed.
