Nikki Bella stabbing Brie Bella in the back is a serious possibility this Sunday. Back in July, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentioned that WWE were seriously thinking about it.
Logically, it makes sense in several ways. Presumably Nikki screws Brie, handing Stephanie the victory. That would suit WWE, it gives McMahon a victory without hurting Brie’s character. She wouldn’t really be losing, she’d be getting screwed. It saves face.
It would also allow for WWE to close the Stephanie / Brie feud and bounce right into a new autumn series. Nikki vs Brie would inevitably happen at Night Of Champions, the sister vs sister tagline being used to full effect. It’d be a fun feud, personal rivalries like that always do good business.
Storyline wise, it also makes sense. Nikki has got fed up of being punished for Brie’s attitude. She finally snaps, siding with Stephanie McMahon and costing her sister the victory this weekend.
