#3 Batista’s initial push

When Brock Lesnar returned after his stint in UFC, WWE gave him a main event push by letting him face John Cena. The ending of that match was botched but Lesnar proved that he belonged there.

This wasn’t the case with Batista. Unlike Lesnar, the Animal didn’t grow big after leaving. His return news was certainly big for everyone but when it came to the in ring work, Batista stumbled big time.

The road to WrestleMania didn’t pan out well for Batista while his feud alongside Evolution against Shield was a much better booking decision.

WWE’s blind faith in Batista was the reason for his initial favor and the company should’ve just let Batista involve in multiple superstar angles rather than letting him win the Royal Rumble and go all the way to the top.
