Prior to being a WWE Superstar, Randy Orton was a United States Marine.

Just one problem – he hated it.

He received a bad conduct discharge a year after enlisting, after he had gone AWOL on two separate occasions and disobeyed a commanding officer. Randy Orton being unruly, surely not?!

Randy ended up under court martial and spent thirty-eight days in military position. He then went to his father and asked to get into the family business – pro wrestling.

Controversially, WWE later made the short sighted decision to cast Orton in ‘The Marine’ film franchise. They were forced to rethink this and soon dropped him from the project when it was pointed out that he was a disgrace to the uniform.
