10 Biggest WWE Rematches That Never Happened
9. Daniel Bryan Vs. Triple H – WrestleMania 30 (2014)
Why There Was No Rematch: Since Triple H is a part time wrestler, they didn’t do it again even though it was teased on Raw.
Daniel Bryan beat Triple H at WrestleMania 30 in a fantastic match that Bryan had to win in order to be in the main event of WM30. It was pretty obvious that Bryan was going to win, but they still put on an entertaining match that fired up the crowd in New Orleans that went wild for everything that Bryan did.
It made sense to do the match because of the hell that Triple H put Bryan through over the previous year. Rooting for Bryan to beat up his boss was pretty easy to do. There was actually a lot of truth behind it because fans felt like WWE was holding Bryan down because of his size. While it could be blamed on Vince McMahon more than Triple H, it was Hunter that was in charge in the story and that made it a better match when it came time for them to settle their differences.
The match was announced on Raw the next day and it looked like it might happen. After Hunter and his buddies beat up Bryan, The Shield showed up to save Bryan, which led to them feuding with Evolution. That Bryan/Triple H rematch never happened after all.
