A year after the alleged Mickie affair and John Cena had married his childhood sweetheart Elizabeth Huberdeau. A match made in heaven? Far from it. The pair divorced a few years later in 2012.

What’s strange about this one is that Cena was referencing his wife on-screen during a March 2012 Raw. He kissed her and told her how much he loved her. Two months later and they were divorced. We don’t know what went wrong, but one rumour was that John had became involved with porn-star Kendra Lust. Take that with a pinch of salt, though.

In storylines, Cena later blamed the pressure of facing The Rock at WrestleMania 28 for costing his marriage. It’s proof that everything can have an upside in the world of WWE.
