WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 2)
3. Tyrus Loses
TNA logic just doesn’t make any sense. Now this may not be that surprising of a statement, but they still manage to baffle me on a nearly weekly basis. Their recent acquisition of Brodus Clay (now Tyrus) was actually a pretty good one. He’s big, has a unique look, can talk, and was underutilized in WWE. TNA, though, didn’t bother to make his debut feel special, and then in his first match with actual competition he was pinned. Who in creative thought that was a good idea? Seriously, who? Show yourself!
Anyway, I understand wanting to put The Hardys over in a match, but there was no need to put Tyrus and Ethan Carter in the tag tournament in the first place if the plan was for them to lose. There had to have been two other wrestlers they could have put together to wrestle instead. Call up The Naturals, ask Shark Boy and New Jack if they’ll do a reunion tour, or see what The Headbangers are up to. Just don’t job out Tyrus so soon!
Are the Hardys any better off for their win on Tyrus? No. Is Tyrus now damaged because of this loss? Why yes! Tyrus’ role is probably a little better than teaming with Albert, but it’s still not something one would call their mother over about.
