9. Meat Getting Tired Because Of PMS

There were a few gimmicks in WWE in the Attitude Era that were based solely around sex. There was the porn star Val Venis (more on him later), the pimp known as The Godfather that brought hoes down to the ring with him (usually local strippers) and then there was a guy named Meat, who was played by Shawn Stasiak.

The Meat character started in April of 1999 and was only around for a few months. The idea behind the gimmick was that he was a piece of meat for the Pretty Mean Sisters trio consisting of Terri Runnels, Jacqueline, and Ryan Shamrock. Calling him “Piece of Meat” would be stupid, so it was shortened to just Meat because that’s cool apparently.

What was his gimmick? Basically, he would go out to the ring to have matches and he would be exhausted because he was busy having sex with the PMS girls before the match. The announce team didn’t openly say that’s what was happening, but that was the insinuation. There were even times where he would complain about being hot or sweaty, so Terri would dump ice or water on him to cool him down.

It’s no surprise that the gimmick failed. It’s also not a surprise that WWE even tried it in the first place because they were not afraid to do anything in those days.
