The Trish Stratus affair with Vince McMahon in early 2001 led to a number of scenes that pushed the idea that something was going on between them. There were times when they were open about it while other times they just sort of teased it. On the February 22, 2001 edition of Smackdown, Stratus walked up to a limo in the parking lot. She seductively spoke to whoever was inside of it and went inside of it looking for some fun. Following a break, they went back to the limo and all the windows were fogged up. In addition to that, Trish was heard moaning the way somebody would be if they were having sex. Later in the show, Stephanie McMahon showed up to get Trish out of the limo because she thought she was in there with her dad, but Trish was already out and only did it to draw Stephanie in. This was one of those segments where WWE could say they weren’t showing two people having sex, but due to the moaning of Stratus that was certainly what they were implying. They knew exactly what they were doing with this storyline. It was very adult oriented.
