In early 2008, Academy Award winner and American Idol star Jennifer Hudson met Harvard alumnus and reality TV star David Otunga. The two had a whirlwind romance, and seven months later, they were engaged. In November of that year, Otunga was signed to a WWE developmental contract. He debuted on NXT in February of 2010 – six months after Hudson gave birth to the couple’s son, David, Jr.

Otunga’s WWE career has had its share of ups and downs. He’s a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion and was part of the Nexus angle, but for the past couple of years, he’s largely been working behind the scenes, doing promotional work for the company.

Still, WWE is never shy about reminding the fans about Otunga’s relationship with his superstar fiancée, with whom he can be seen at red carpet events.
