The Boss of NXT is possibly the best kept secret in wrestling, for the past year she’s been putting on incredibly matches with Bayley, Becky Lynch and Charlott. She is living, breathing proof of the positive benefits of the WWE Performance Center, and head women’s trainer Sara Amato. Perhaps it is time to reward her efforts with a high-profile against the woman who many see as the best Divas on the roster?

AJ and Sasha Banks couldn’t be further apart personality wise, but their wrestling styles are a lot more complimentary than many people might first realise. Both women mix a fast-paced agile style with remarkable technical skill and devastating submission manoeuvres. AJ’s Black Widow is cool, but Sasha Bank’s ‘Bank Statement’ might be the coolest finisher in wrestling today.

Unfortunately, many people still don’t bother with Divas matches, and the common joke is that they’re the “bathroom break” match of any given card. WWE really needs to commit to their Divas division, and push the idea that women’s wrestling can be as good as any male wrestling match. If given enough time, AJ and Sasha could break a lot of the pre-exisiting stigma around women’s wrestling.
