When The Funkadctyls first stepped foot into the ring, it was clear that one of them was far more talented than the other. While Cameron will never live down the infamous “Melina and Alicia Fox” comment, and she tried to pin someone the wrong way around the other month, it was obvious right from the start that Naomi had the charisma and ability to go far in the Divas division.

So why hasn’t she? Post-WrestleMania, the Divas Championship has revolved around either Paige or AJ Lee and very few people have had a chance at it besides.

Naomi v AJ could put on a series of absolute classics, if given the chance. Historically in wrestling, a good technical wrestler taking on a good athletic wrestler is always a good match-up. Naomi and AJ are perfect matches for each other.

As for the story to go with it, WWE should consider going back to an unresolved story from last year, AJ’s dislike of the Total Divas roster. The natural end for that rivalry should have been one of the Total Divas proving that they’re as good, if not better than AJ and taking the WWE Divas Championship from her. There’s no-one on that show more suited to putting AJ in her place than Naomi, and hopefully we’ll get to see it before the year’s out.
