From the moment the celebrity photos were leaked on the internet everybody was pretty much in agreement that a crime was being committed. The majority of news outlets, of course, reported on the incident but none of them were actually showing the photos in question.
However, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton did just that when he flat-out posted hacked images of both Jennifer Lawrence and Victoria Justice on his website, perezhilton.com. Though, he quickly took them down. Hilton first replaced the uncensored nude photos on his site with censored versions, but then changed his mind and removed the photos altogether. He subsequently took to his twitter account to apologize about the situation.
“No, I haven’t been forced to do so or been contacted by their reps, but I am removing those uncensored photos of JLaw and Victoria Justice,” he wrote in a tweet. “Upon further reflection and just sitting with my actions, I don’t feel comfortable even keeping the censored photos up. I am removing them,” he later added.
And while Hilton claims he wasn’t “forced” from a legal standpoint we have to assume that there was some sort of social pressure. Whatever the reason was, we’re just glad he did the right thing.
