10 Things You Didn’t Know About The Fappening-9
9. “The UNFappening” Is Asking Artists To Cover Up The Leaked Celebrity Nudes
At this point in time it’s safe to say that these leaked photos aren’t going anywhere. As Jason Segel told Cameron Diaz in Sex Tape “No one understands the cloud!” However, perhaps there is something we can do to lighten the mood.
“The UNFappening” is a website that asks artists to cover up the nude photos with illustrations. Through collages, drawings, and Photoshop, the illicit images regain their modesty. The site’s description reads, “The fappening happened. We can’t change that. But we can cover it up. It’s the least we can do. Here we show the works of artists who did so.” Artists can submit their alterations to the photos through an email address on the site.
A quick look at the site and you’ll see some pretty interesting (to put it lightly) and clever ways artists have used to cover up these celebrities body-parts. They superimposed superhero costumes, transposed inanimate objects and one of the photos even seem to incorporate some sort of weird makeshift bacon outfit into the proceedings. It’s all actually pretty bizarre, but still clever nonetheless.
